Lessons for those cooking Ostrich
Don’t do it.
Oh, yes, it is a nice lean meat. And it may be cheaper than the chicken at the supermarket. It might even have a pleasant taste. But it still isn’t worth it.
I’ve spent the last 4 days scrubbbing down every area of my kitched with baking soda trying to expunge the odor of cooked meat out of my old apartment. Just once! Just once did I cook ostrich. It was intriguing ground ostrich. I liked the bison I got earlier, why wouldn’t I like ostrich? Oh how it smelled! And alas, it must have contained super airborne meat particles which have left my apartment with a faint, "what’s cooking?" smell for almost a week now.
Someone is coming to see my apartment tomorrow. Lets hope I don’t lose my security deposit over the bouquet.
