Postage and Pharmacuticals
Ok, I just bought some cold medicine here in barcelona, and let me tell you something about the pharmacies here…
You cannot buy NyQuil-like products in a supermarket at all… you have to go to an actual pharmacy… and then you canĀ“t pick something off a shelf! you have to talk to they guy behind the counter, tell what you have, and then he hands you a box of pills “over the counter”.
And there’s really no choice… I had to tell him the exact medicines I wanted… it was crazy.
and then I had to buy stamps…. which are sold in tobacco stores!

Hi Mike, We just got back from High school states. Brian got a 5th place medal in the back and placed 11th in the consolation heat in the IM. He made a fantastic time of 2.01.87 in the IM and qualified for nationals. We will call you sometime when I wake up.

Your travels are fun to read about. So you tell us that Europe is
expensive and Barcelona is the place to party, but I already knew the former and it’s too late for the latter. Do you know any more about that staircase? I know what a helix is, and a stair can certainly be helical, and I know what a colloid is, but can a staircase be colloidal?
I’m curious: Why does your weblog run backwards?
